I have this card installed and functioning properly. I have never had a problem with this card on the K7S5A.db

Interesting, what bios version are you using?And do you have devices (CDROM/Hard drives) on the secondary IDE channel?

Oken, I'm using the latest honey_x bios. All the optical drives are installed on a secondary IDE card.

Yep, used to run the burner on the secondary onboard IDE channel. That was before using the honey_x bios as well.

I've a K7S5A, that worked fine, until I put in the NetGear FA331 (FB105 package) ....same weird things happening : no boot-up (even the video card failed to boot). Then I managed to remove the USB...

There are actually more than one. They are available for download via the links in the forum page header. There are also a few K7S5A Pro-based versions (works on non-pro boards) here and here.

Thx fot the link.I've installed the "oc021029a" bios from honey_x (thx a lot!)...but the problem still happens with the netgear FA311 card . Is it this bio that you installed, daveb5254 ?Nico.

Note that daveb5254 has the FA310TX, not the FA311TX.

I had problems with my fa311 card and replaced it with a U.S Robotics R24.0333.00 network card (i am in the UK) and all works fine now.Thanks

It's not just the K7S5A, the SiS745-equippedMSI 745 Ultra also doesn't like the FA311. It must be a general SiS7x5 <-> FA311 conflict.

If you set the bios setting forthe CDROM/DVD to not installed instaed of auto- this error disappears and winxp can read your cd/dvd ok.The problem is caused by the network card fa311 Cheers,Smiler
